Pre GED Math Teacher

Greenville County School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Pre GED Math Teacher Location: Lifelong Learning at Sullivan Center Job Goal: Prepare students ages 17 and older to take and pass the GED test. Qualifications:Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate or ability to receive a waiver.Ability to teach Math. Responsibilities Include: Establish appropriate classroom rules and management practices that promote college and career readinessMaintain clear communication with the administrationProvide directed teaching, one-on-one instruction, group work, and multiple instructional resources and methods to meet various learning styles, ability levels, and student goalsMonitor and assess student achievement, including TABE Pre- and Post-Tests, SCOIS, curriculum tests, writing assignments, WIN preparation and testing, GED Ready testing, and other assessmentsMaintain accurate student recordsAssist students with setting up GED accountsProvide College and Career Readiness referralsAttend Lifelong Learning meetings and statewide professional development opportunitiesPerform other duties as assigned by the Academic Program Coordinator or Director.
