All training must be completed and regulatory requirements met prior to promotion.GS-1740-09: The primary purpose of this position is to plan, implement, administer, and advise on Education and Training Flight's (ET&F) academic opportunities, tuition assistance program, career and force development programs, and other education and training services and activities provided to military members, retirees, Department of Defense (DoD) civilian members, and their families. DUTIES GS-1740-07: Performs developmental assignments. Performs recurring assignments. Participates in special initiatives, studies, and projects. Prepares written correspondence and other documentation. GS-1740-09: Provides individual career, academic, and force development advisement to military personnel of all ranks, their dependents, and/or civilian personnel pursuing undergraduate/graduate, vocational, technical, licensure/certification, and professional development opportunities at various levels. Serves as technical expert on a variety of educational programs. Counsels/Advises military personnel, their dependents, and /or eligible civilian personnel regarding military and academic testing programs and how they apply to career development and degree programs. Serves as subject matter expert on all administered testing programs, degree and career applicability, and provides advisement to base leadership. Manages the installation level testing program for military tests (WAP, DLPT, ASVAB, etc.), and A4/6 tests (CDC, PME, etc.).
