DIRECTOR OF ACADEMICS

Summary About the Position: Performs under general direction of the Commandant, The U.S. Army Inspector General School (TIGS), who provides mission and broad program objectives. The Director of Academics exercises independent professional skill, supervision, and judgement in assuring development and execution of the school mission and academic-related functions. Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.Major Duties: Provide academic leadership for the faculty in the identification of all instructional and consulting activities. Exercise direct supervisory responsibilities over all instructors and civilian support personnel Provide advice and counsel to subordinates on both work and administrative matters. Serve as a professor of Inspector General policy, doctrine, and systems.
