Cued Language Transliterator

Prince William County Public Schools is inviting applications for the following position: Cued Language Transliterator School Year: 2026-2027 Location: Hearing Impaired Job Summary: The cued language transliterator provides communication and other support services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in the School Division. The cued language transliterator facilitates communication among students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their hearing peers, the classroom teacher, and other personnel in the school. This position performs work under the general supervision of the Special Education Department and the site-based school administration. Required Qualifications: Minimum High School or GEDMinimum Vocational / Technical Must hold and maintain one or more of the following certifications: Virginia Quality Assurance Screening (VQAS) Level III, and a national Transliteration Skills Certificate from the Testing, Evaluation and Certification Unit (TEC Unit) or equivalent recognized by the Virginia Department for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Personnel providing cued language transliteration services for children using cued speech shall have a valid VQAS Level III recognized by the Virginia Department of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as equivalent to or exceeding the VQAS Level III.
