Elementary Media Center Specialist

Idaho Falls School District 91 invites applications for the following position: Elementary Media Center Specialist-Part-Time Date Available: Immediately Location: Theresa Bunker Elementary Job Goals: To support the delivery of School District 91's written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement.To provide all students with an enriched library environment containing a wide variety of materials that will invite intellectual growth, and to aid all students in acquiring the skills needed to take full advantage of media center's resources. Qualifications: A. A minimum of two years of college or 48 college credits or a score of 457 or greater on the ParaPro PraxisB. Working knowledge of an elementary school media center.C. Ability to work with staff, students, and the public.D. Patient, yet firm.E. Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.F. Physically able to perform assigned duties.G. Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory.H. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. This is a part-time position scheduled for 16.5 hours per week during the school year.
