Summary This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) within the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). The incumbent supports the University's education, training, workforce development, and advising missions. Duties include preparing and delivering instruction on security cooperation topics, including Foreign Military Sales (FMS), advising U.S. and partner nation officials, conducting research and analysis, and developing instructional materials. Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) mission is to advance U.S. national security and foreign policy interests by building the capacity of foreign security forces to respond to shared challenges. DSCA leads the broader U.S. security cooperation enterprise in its efforts to train, educate, advise, and equip foreign partners. DSCA administers security cooperation programs that support U.S. policy interests and objectives.Major Duties: As a FACULTY SENIOR ASSOCIATE at the AD-1701-3 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serve as specialists in their respective disciplines and primarily support the University's education, training, workforce development, and advising missions, while also contributing to the University's research, analysis, and lessons learned activities. Develop major segments of the curriculum/advising program to include planning, developing course materials, readings, and other instructional resources in accordance with DSCU curriculum development standards and processes. Deliver educational content and provide advisory services in areas of expertise to both U.S. and foreign partner nation officials to advance U.S. national security objectives. Provide academic advice in areas of expertise to DSCU faculty and students to facilitate and demonstrate a capacity for scholarship, independent judgment, academic rigor, and intellectual honesty. Develops alternative courses of study, assesses proposed curriculum changes, and provides recommendations to DSCU leadership. Provide strategic planning input related to use of technology, resources, and support needs.
