Position Summary: The Building Service Worker supports the Facilities Department by performing janitorial, custodial, and basic building maintenance duties to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment. Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, the incumbent works closely with the Maintenance Department, collaborates with staff across the organization, and coordinates with external service providers as required.Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.• Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, building service, or facilities maintenance work is an asset.• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, materials, and workplace safety practices.• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.• Basic knowledge of building systems and minor maintenance procedures is an asset.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Good communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.• Valid driver's license is an asset.• Valid WHMIS and First Aid Level 1 certification required.
