Summary This National Guard position is for a TRAINING TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D30240000 and is part of the Florida National Guard. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. The National Guard is the oldest component of the Armed Forces of the United States. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.Major Duties: As a Training Specialist, GS-1702-07/09, you will oversee the Group Training Programs and Subordinate Unit Compliance. This position serves as the Group Unit Training Manager (UTM) and operates under the direction of the Force Support Squadron (FSS) - Force Development Office (FDO). The incumbent acts as the primary advisor to the Group Commander /A-Staff Director on training policy and execution across subordinate units. They lead the planning, development, and evaluation of group-wide education and training initiatives, establishing a cohesive training strategy and ensuring compliance through coordination with subordinate or assigned Unit Training Managers (UTMs). The incumbent provides policy interpretation, as directed through the FDO, from Headquarters (HQ) and Major Command (MAJCOM) levels, ensuring the seamless integration of these policies into all unit-level training programs.
