Prince William County Public Schools is inviting applications for the following position: Special Education Coordinator School Year: 2026-2027 Location: Special Education Job Summary: The Special Education Coordinator position is responsible for providing support to school staff members in relation to special education. Specifically, the coordinator is responsible for compiling and analyzing data and providing support to schools for complex situations and instructional needs. The successful candidate should have experience and in-depth knowledge of special education regulations and/or specialized instruction. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Knowledge of special education regulations and specialized instruction.• Ability to lead an IEP team in challenging situations• Ability to identify trends related to concerns with instruction or procedural support• Ability to plan, organize, and deliver professional development related to procedural support or specialized instruction.• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.• Position is exempt and requires flexibility to work beyond 8 hours as needed. Required Qualifications: Master's Degree Special Education Master's Degree Administration & Supervision, K-12 Required3 years of Special education teaching experienceLeadership experienceEndorsement in Special Education Endorsement in Administration or Supervision, Required
