Prince William County Public Schools is inviting applications for the following position: Advanced Academics Coordinator School Year: 2026-2027 Location: Head Start Job Summary: This position coordinates and oversees Family Services and Health Services for preschool programs, ensuring compliance with Head Start, Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI), and school division requirements. The position oversees student recruitment, eligibility, attendance, comprehensive services, and related data collection and reporting processes to support program accountability and compliance. Working collaboratively with school personnel, community partners, and program leadership, the position supports family engagement, continuous improvement efforts, professional development, and program implementation to promote high-quality services, child safety, family well-being, and positive program outcomes. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, regulations, grant requirements, and program standards governing preschool and early childhood programs. Knowledge of eligibility determination, enrollment processes, and comprehensive services for grant-funded preschool programs. Knowledge of family engagement, family services, and community resource coordination practices that support student and family success. Knowledge of student information, data management, and reporting systems, with the ability to analyze and utilize data to support compliance and continuous improvement. Knowledge of performance management principles and supervisory practices, including staff coaching, development, and evaluation. Knowledge of professional development, training, and technical assistance methodologies. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with staff, families, community agencies, advisory committees, and other stakeholders. Knowledge of early childhood education, human services, and the goals and objectives of Division preschool programs. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple programs, projects, and priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining compliance requirements. Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Public Administration/Supervision, or a related fieldExperience with Head Start enrollment and federal reporting practices, VPI legislation and accompanying enrollment and reporting requirements3 years of administration and supervisory experience within a Head Start Program or school divisionExperience working with parents and the public about preschool programs
