Nibinamik First NationNibinamik Education Centre Employment OpportunityGrade 7-8 Teacher Summary: Nibinamik Education Centre, located in Nibinamik First Nation, houses students from JK to Grade 8, including an immersion program from JK to Grade 2. Cultural content is taught to all grade levels on a daily basis and includes outdoor programs and traditional language studies. Qualifications:·       Registered with Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)·       Certified by an accredited University (BA/BED/Teacher training program)·       Strong focus on teaching strategies in the area of Literacy and Numeracy·        Ability to work with students at various levels of achievement  ·       Previous experience teaching in multi-grade classrooms would be a benefit but not required.·       Strong computer and technology skills to support teacher instruction and student learning in the classroom is helpful.·       Experience teaching in First Nation or Band Operated School, would be considered an asset Location:This position is located based out of Nibinamik Education Centre located on Nibinamik First Nation Applications:·       Letter of Application (cover letter)·       Resume·       Current OCT (Ontario College of Teachers) Certification·       Recent Criminal Reference Check (including vulnerable sector)·       Three current references with permission to contact  This position is open until fulfilled.
