Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA), as one of only two Federally-operated school systems, is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing prekindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Department of War (DoW). Organize and maintain assessor files beginning with assessment planning through eligibility completion. Coordinate with ISS Special Education for outside evaluation requests. Use initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instructions Assist Special Education Assessors with the administrative functions of the assessment process Work with students in accordance with plans developed by the specialist and educator.
