The role of this Group Training Manager (GTM) is to function as the Group Commander's key staff member responsible for overall oversight and management of the training and educational program. The GTM serves as training consultant to all Unit Training Managers (UTMs) and determine if quality training programs are in effect within all sections. The GTM implements and manages training programs, policies, and procedures, as directed by the Group Commander, Host Wing/Base Education and Training office, and higher headquarters. DUTIES Plans, organizes, leads and controls the Group training program and assist Unit training programs as needed to ensure combat readiness. Responsible for overall management of OJT program for the Group and oversight of subordinate unit's OJT program. Assist with processing of all Career Development Course (CDC) waivers, reenrollment requests and two-time CDC failures for the Group and subordinate units. Administers Training and Distance Learning Programs. Manages the development of education and training instructional products. Plans, directs, organizes, and coordinates operations of the Advance Distributed Learning, and multimedia educationand training programs. Monitors the overall accuracy and reliability of all data entered into and maintained in Personnel Data System (PDS).
