This is a Solicitation of Interest to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill an excepted service position (Title 10) of Professor of Practice (Operational Planning Course Director) at the School of Advanced Warfighting (SAW), Marine Corps University. SAW is located in Warner Hall on the campus of Marine Corps University on Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia located 35 miles south of Washington, DC.Major Duties: You will teach seminars in the 7200-series Operational Planning Line of Education. You will supervise, mentor, and evaluate planning problems, briefs, written products, wargames, decision games, and other adult learning activities. You will mentor Future War Master's Thesis papers and provide feedback on student assignments linked to applied learning activities. You will design new curriculum informed by joint, service, combined, and competitor doctrine; recent operational experience; red teaming/alternative analysis techniques; and force modernization programs. You will coordinate, administer, and execute applied learning events such as planning exercises, war games, and staff rides. You will maintain an network of military professionals across the services and in the joint community to ensure access to the latest classified, unclassified and CUI documents on concepts, capabilities, and modernization activities. You will represent School of Advanced Warfighting at key forums, professional organization meetings, and public hearings You will develops, supervises, and evaluates graduate-level course of instruction designed to meet learning outcomes established by the faculty and approved by Marine Corps University leadership. You will ensure course materials are current, relevant, and responsive to the needs of the student body. Conducts the Course Content Review board for his/her course.
