Stratford Public Schools invites applications for the following: Middle School Orchestra/General Music Teacher Location: Wooster Middle School Description: The Stratford Public Schools has an opening for a dynamic and innovative Orchestra and General Music Teacher at Wooster Middle School. The selected candidate will direct the orchestra program and teach general music classes.Connecticut endorsement in Music 049 required. Primary Responsibilities: Implement standards-aligned curriculum in both ensemble and general music settings, utilizing formative and summative assessments to inform instruction.Facilitate authentic, student-centered music-making experiences that promote artistic expression, critical thinking, and collaborative musicianship.Engage students in exploring the sociocultural relevance of music through interdisciplinary connections and inquiry-based learning.Coordinate and participate in public performances, school-wide events, and community engagement initiatives that highlight student achievement and foster a culture of musical excellence.
