Training Support Specialist (Strategic Planner)

Summary About the Position: This position serves as a senior strategic planner and analyst for Europe's military training support division. Providing leadership and direction to ensure training missions align with broader military goals across Europe and Africa. Managing operational planning for US forces, international allies, and partners, coordinating complex training requirements, and managing staff and budgets. Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army. This position is located in Grafenwoehr, Germany, in the Upper Palatinate (Oberpfalz) and in the State of Bavaria (Bayern). The US Army Garrison Grafenwoehr is located in a scenic, rural section approximately 60 miles from Nurenberg. The city of Grafenwoehr lies right outside the gates of the training area and owes much of its prosperity to the soldiers training there. Our communities are truly communities of excellence. Actively participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques. Analyzes problems discovered in prior exercises or actual operations and advises higher levels of management on the feasibility of different approaches. Exercises full responsibility for personnel and human resource management decisions within the division.
