Grade 2/3 TeacherKisikohk School – 2026–2027 School YearKisikohk School is seeking a dedicated, caring, and culturally responsive Grade 2/3 Teacher (split class) for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for an educator who values student relationships, land-based learning, academic growth, and the integration of Nêhiyaw language and culture into everyday learning.Kisikohk School serves students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8 in a supportive learning environment grounded in community, respect, and holistic educationPositionGrade 2/3 TeacherFull-Time PositionStart Date: August 2026Location: Witchekan Lake First Nation, SaskatchewanDuties & ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:• Deliver engaging Grade 2/3 instruction aligned with Saskatchewan curriculum • Support student learning through differentiated instruction and assessment • Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment • Incorporate Indigenous perspectives and cultural teachings into programming • Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians • Participate in staff meetings, school events, professional development, and school initiatives • Support student attendance, wellbeing, and positive behaviour development Qualifications & RequirementsApplicants must:• Hold or be eligible for a valid Saskatchewan Professional “A” Teaching Certificate issued by the Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board • Possess a Bachelor of Education degree • Demonstrate effective classroom management and strong instructional practices • Have knowledge of Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes and indicators • Be committed to literacy, numeracy, and student wellness • Demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community • Experience with Indigenous education, land-based learning, and culturally responsive teaching is considered a strong asset • Knowledge of Nêhiyawêwin and Indigenous worldview teachings is considered an asset • Be willing to participate in school cultural activities, ceremonies, and community events • Possess strong organizational and communication skills • Be able to work collaboratively as part of a school team
