Summary You will serve as a Training Technician at the USDA Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) Center for Agricultural Safeguarding Training. You will work closely with specialists in the field of training and education to ensure accomplishment of education and training programs regarding safeguarding American agriculture and natural resources. You can make a difference! At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Create, format, proofread, edit and finalize management plans, analysis reports, design documents, instructional materials (e.g., tests, case studies, practice exercises, handouts, storyboards), cover memoranda, and/or reports. Perform clerical and administrative services as needed including record keeping, preparing meeting minutes arrange conferences and/or meetings, making reservations, and planning/arranging facility requirements and associated services. Serve as primary training support provider for various training needs including learning management system functions, training material tracking and preparation, and classroom preparation. Use current technologies in instructions and trends in online learning practices to support production and delivery of training courses. Deliver basic presentations and training evaluations to training participants. Gather, review, tabulate, and summarize data collected from various evaluation instruments to formulate recommendations for improving training.
