Summary About the position: Van Voorhis Elementary School is part of the Kentucky Schools Community which is part of the DoDEA Americas Southeast District. Van Voorhis serves students from Prekindergarten (PK) through 5th grade. This position is located at: Department of Defense Education Activity, Department of Defense Education Activity Mid-Atlantic District, Poole Elementary School, Fort Bragg, NC. Description of Working Environment: Work is performed in a classroom setting. Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA), as one of only two Federally-operated school systems, is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing prekindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Department of War (DoW). Ensures continuity of program in teacher's absence. Monitoring students during various phases of school day. Maintains a clean and organized learning environment. Preparing instructional materials related to classroom lessons. Assists with teaching personal care routines: feeding, toileting and personal hygiene. Operates Instructional equipment and technology devices. Accompanying/supervising students on field trips. Produce material to display educational objectives to class. Apply assistive technology for recording student data.
