Ross SchoolExternal Job PostingHallway Monitor – Full Time Permanen Purpose of Job:The Hallway Monitor is responsible for supervising the hallways and school grounds for Joe A. Ross School. This position will direct and monitor traffic in the morning and after school for students, staff and parents. Qualifications:• Must possess a valid Manitoba Security Guard License.• Must have a valid First Aid/ CPR certificate.• Knowledge of the Cree language is an asset. Responsibilities:• Must have great communication skills as you will be communicating on two-way radio, greeting visitors, students, teachers and parents.• Submit to the Operations, Maintenance & Transportation Manager or designate a written daily activity report with accurate information.• Monitor hallways of school(s), outside school grounds and classrooms.• Must remain on school grounds at all times but may be required to escort children to and from class and off school grounds if necessary.• Monitor surveillance cameras, report discrepancies to the Operations, Maintenance & TransportationManager or designate.• Become familiar with the fire safety plan and emergency procedures plan.• Monitor students during bus drop off and bus pick up.• From time to time, will assist teachers, and student success officers who are dealing with disciplinary issues with students.• Will provide coverage in classrooms on an emergency basis only.• Responsible for checking students timetables on the school iPad. Deadline: August 18, 2026 @ 4:30 p.m
