OPASKWAYAK EDUCATION SERVICES INC.REQUIRES HYCCCExternal Job PostingBus Driver/Maintenance Person - Full Time Permanent  Purpose of Job:The Bus Driver will be responsible for transporting children of various ages to and from their homes, the Hilda Young Child Care Centre and respective schools in a safe and effective manner. This is a dual position therefore, we need a skilled Maintenance Person to help keep our facility safe, clean, and well-maintained. Qualifications:• Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.• Physically able to lift, bend, and perform hands-on tasks.• Experience in a childcare or institutional setting is an asset.• Must possess a valid Class 2 Driver’s license.• Must possess a valid School Bus Operator’s Certificate, OR willing to obtain, through OES Inc.• Clean driver’s abstract and medical.• Must have valid First Aid/CPR Certificate.• Ability and experience of loading and unloading a person in a wheelchair is a must. Responsibilities:• Follow established routes and ensuring passengers arrive at their destination safely and on time.• At times, the Bus Driver will assist students with boarding, exiting and crossing the street.• Adhere to and enforce bus safety rules and standards.• Complete pre and post trip inspections.• Complete daily driver and mileage logs.• Adhere to Manitoba Transport regulations at all times.• Report any malfunctions or needed repairs immediately to the HYCCC Executive Director.• Monitor and keep an updated first aid kit in the Bus at all times.• Maintain order and discipline among students while they are on the bus in a respectful manner.• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.).• Maintain indoor and outdoor play areas to ensure health and safety standards are met.• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal and yard upkeep.• Ensure compliance with daycare safety regulations and licensing requirements. Deadline: August 14, 2026 @ 4:30 p.m.
