                 CREE Teacher (Grades 7 – 12) – LITTLE PINE Chief Little Pine School is a K5 to Grade 12 school operated on the Little Pine First Nation, located about 79 km west of North Battleford, SK.  Chief Little Pine School is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual to fill the full-time position of CREE Teacher-Grades 7 to 12. Chief Little Pine School is proud to provide students with a safe learning environment which encourages students to spread their wings and seek out their dreams.  Our students are encouraged to embrace their culture and traditional values as they grow into young men and women. Requirements:·        Fluent in Cree – Plains Y dialect·        Able to read and write in SRO·        Cultural competency a necessity·        Able to lead and instruct traditional land-based skills·        Be familiar with local protocols and cultural practice·        Must be technologically literate·        Teach Communications Media, Life Transitions, Visual Arts and Food Studies at High School Level·        Must be able to deliver differentiated instruction Position Qualifications·        Possess or be in application of a valid SK Teaching Certificate ·        Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in education ·        Understands and uses current literacy practices and teaching strategies ·        Models a strong work ethic as well as high standards of commitment ·        Must have an awareness and appreciation of Native culture ·        Fosters school mission, values and sense of community through student-centered decisions ·        Effectively communicates with staff, parents and students ·        Maintains professionalism through all school interactions and activities ·        Collaborates with colleagues in Junior and Senior School positions ·        Values continual growth and development of school programs and curriculumDeadline for applications: Open Until Filled
