OPEN COMPETITION  The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Education Department is now accepting applications for the 2026- 2027 academic year, to fill the following Full-Time Term position based out of Senator Myles Venne School (SMVS) in La Ronge, SK:  Grade 5 Teacher (2)  The suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications:• Bachelor of Education degree and a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate or a provisional professional A teaching certificate;• Strong classroom management skills;• Ability to teach students of varying abilities;• Use motivational skills and strategies to encourage students to learn and keep them engaged;• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to instruct and educate students• Possess technology skills and work with software programs (power point, google classroom, Microsoft teams);• Strong time management skills;• Teaching experience at the elementary level is an asset;• Cross - Cultural experience is an asset;• On-line teaching experience an asset;• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License;• Must be able to provide verification of previous teaching experience (if applicable);• Must be able to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening. Date of Posting: June 01, 2026 Deadline: Until Suitable Candidate Is Found
