English High School Teacher

Tustukeeskaws requires a High School English teacher beginning August 26th for the 2026-2027 school year. Tustukeeskaws Jr/Sr High school is located on the Frog Lake First Nations with a student population of 200 children. The school is a grade 7 to grade 12. It is situated 100 Km north east or Lloydminster and 75 km south west of Cold Lake. Applicants should be familiar with the Alberta Curriculum and be prepared to teach in an inclusive environment.  The English teacher should be able to create a successful program for all students. This teacher will be flexible, supportive, and understanding towards families and children. The successful candidate will be able to communicate with diverse students and families. This teaching position requires teachers to be fully conversant in the highschool English curriculum. Preparation for both internal and external provincial exams as well as an ability to infuse Cree cultural readings are essential aspects of this role as is participation in supporting the overall school culture and climate. Landbased learnings are an essential aspect of the school's curricular program. The teacher is responsible for all aspects of the school's curriculum as it relates to the high school English program. Other duties may be assigned by the principal.
