Education Services Specialist

Summary About the Position: Serves as an Education Services Specialist responsible for implementation of Army policy, determination of specific educational programs, and service needs for the IMCOM-Europe region. Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army. Wiesbaden is without a doubt one of the most attractive cities in Germany. The capital city of Hessen is sometimes referred to as "Nice of the North" and rightfully so considering the many mansions, the historic Kurhaus, the casino and the State Theater. Wiesbaden has been well known as a great spa city since ancient times. It has 27 hot, saline springs and its mild climate and park-like setting continue to make it a popular resort and conference center. Wiesbaden, located in one of the premier wine growing areas in Germany, is on the Rhine River only 20 minutes from the Frankfurt International Airport. Primary point of contact for Army Continuing Education System (ACES) in support of several key automated support programs necessary for efficient and effective operation. Coordinate policy and guidance with internal and external components to ensure ACES programs align with established Army goals and objectives. Conduct surveys to evaluate operations and program results and use findings in planning, developing and installing modified programs. Provide technical guidance in the operation of educational programs, to include needs assessments, teacher qualifications, material and facility requirements, curricula, and evaluation techniques. Prepare and provide information regarding Soldier development programs, tuition assistance, and technologies that impact an Army education. Provide input on management and distribution of fiscal resources and provide analysis of budget documents, spend plans, and year-end reports. Conduct training on automated systems/processes and participate in workshops providing guidance and assistance to the ACES community. Serve as a Test Control Officer and administer testing programs.
