Family and Stakeholder Engagement Officer

Summary About the Position: The Europe Office of the Director has three full-time 648346 Family and Stakeholder Engagement Officer roles in Brussels, Stuttgart, and Vogelweh. Federal employees in Brussels, Stuttgart, and Vogelweh presently receive Post Allowance (COLA) rates of 50%, 42%, and 42%, respectively, in addition to base pay; allowance levels are periodically reviewed and may change. Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA), as one of only two Federally-operated school systems, is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing prekindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Department of War (DoW). DoWEA is globally positioned, operating 160 accredited schools in 8 districts located in 11 foreign countries, 7 states, Guam, and Puerto Rico. DoWEA employs approximately 15,000 employees who serve more than 72,000 children of active duty military and DoW civilian families. DoWEA is committed to ensuring that all school-aged children of military families are provided a world-class education that prepares them for postsecondary education and/or career success and to be leading contributors in their communities as well as in our 21st century globalized society.Major Duties: Serve as a primary liaison with command leadership, families, and interagency partners to ensure educational programs meet student needs. Develop and implement enterprise-wide engagement strategies by aligning them with DoWEA priorities to strengthen family and community involvement. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the stakeholder engagement program using data-driven metrics to produce reports and recommend improvements. Design, plan, and carry out projects, programs, and assignments with limited direct supervision by exercising management control over the work.
