Summary About the Position: The position will be located at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army. . Camp Arifjan is a US Army installation which accommodates elements of deployed Military forces from all over the world. If selected for this position housing and a vehicle will be provided. The base provides permanent support facilities, base exchanges (AAFES), two gyms, a pool, and one Military Dining Facility. Receives on-the-job training in the application of concepts, principles, practice, and procedures of Education Services. The incumbent receives progressively more responsible assignments as experience and training are received to the full performance level position of GS-1740-12. Counsels military personnel regarding educational goals, providing guidance on the establishment/planning of educational goals. Explains benefits such as Veteran's Assistance, tuition assistance, eArmyU, scholarships and grants, and aids service-members with securing benefits. Performs ESS functions; plans, directs, coordinates and reports on the full scope of activities required to accomplish the ACES program mission for the assigned area.
