Elementary ESE Teacher

Volusia County Schools invites applications for the following position: Elementary ESE Teacher Location: Volusia Pines Elementary School Position Goal: To work diligently and conscientiously in the role of instructional personnel to help students meet or exceed annual learning goals, to meet state and local achievement requirements, and master the skills required to graduate from high school prepared for post-secondary education and work. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an educational field or the equivalent as defined by Florida Administrative Code (FAC) 6A-1.0503• Hold or is eligible to hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education or equivalent as defined by FAC 6A-4.01795• Endorsements in the following areas as appropriate (dependent on class composition):• Autism Spectrum Disorder: FAC 6A-4.01796• Gifted: FAC 6A-4.01791• Orientation and Mobility: FAC 6A-4.01794• Pre-K Disabilities: FAC 6A-4.01792• Severe or Profound Disabilities: FAC 6A-4.01793• Reading: 6A-4.0163• For teachers in Separate Class Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (SC/EBD), EBD Separate School, Multi and ASD programs, hold or is eligible to hold certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or equivalent
