Summary One vacancy at Peterson CDC and one vacancy at Schofield Barracks CDC, Hawaii. Applicants may be required to do occasional weekend and late night work. Selected applicant must be able to pass a Medical Physical Examination. As an added employee incentive, the Department of Defense (DoD) granted approval to extend temporary limited commissary privileges (excluding the purchase of tobacco or alcohol products) to CYS employees. This temporary approval expires 31 December 2026.Major Duties: Serves as a first level supervisor for assigned staff and assists the Director in the supervision of the day-to-day operation of the program/activity. The incumbent reports and works directly with the Director with minimum supervision. Assists with providing program oversight and accountability for the performance of employees, the safety of children, and customer needs. Supervises staff to include assigning work, conducting performance reviews, and approving leave. Establishes local performance standards for employees and volunteers using established standards and requirements and rates employees' performance. Ensures facility complies with health, fire, safety, USDA, and program regulatory guidance and standards. Observes program participants and identifies signs of illness, abuse or neglect, emotional distress, and follows mandated reporting protocols. In conjunction with the Director ensures compliance with standards, criteria, and laws to obtain and retain DoD certification and national accreditation. Assists with taking action to implement recommendations or correct deficiencies.
