Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Serving Those Who ServeMajor Duties: Exercises supervisory and management authority over a Child and Youth Program (CYP) center. Plans, organizes, and oversees day-to-day operations, staff, and facilities providing developmental care for ages 6 weeks to 18 years. Reports directly to the installation CYP Coordinator. Acts as a first-level supervisor. Applies subject knowledge, policy compliance, initiative, and creativity to meet program goals. Acts as a mandated reporter with comprehensive knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws governing child abuse and neglect detection, prevention, and reporting. Major Duties and Responsibilities Program Management & Inclusion Developmental Care: Implements programs promoting social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Accountability: Ensures compliance with Federal, DoD, Service, and local safety standards. Data & Assessment: Collects statistical data to optimize spaces; conducts surveys and assessments. Special Needs Support: Ensures inclusive programming, medication administration, and behavioral strategies. Individualized Plans: Collaborates on Behavior Support Plans, IFSPs, and IEPs; guides parents on resources. Financial & Facility Management Budgeting: Prepares and executes Appropriated Fund (APF) and Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) budgets. Analysis: Conducts written variance analysis and justifies unanticipated funding needs. Procurement: Initiates purchases for supplies, equipment, travel, training, and contracted services. Maintenance: Enforces facility condition, safety, and sanitation; initiates routine and major work requests. Personnel Management Supervision: Assigns work, sets priorities, schedules staff, and approves leave. Evaluations: Conducts written observations and completes midterm and annual performance reviews. Development: Mentors staff; collaborates with Training and Curriculum Specialists to identify training needs. Employee Relations: Selects candidates, resolves complaints, and initiates rewards or disciplinary actions. Program Operations & Community Relations Environment: Sustains participant interest and models positive interaction techniques. Parent Engagement: Chairs the Parent Board; organizes events like orientations and class meetings. Liaison Role: Partners with military leadership, schools, civic groups, and early education councils. Safety & Compliance Inspections: Meets health, fire, safety, USDA, and regulatory standards for DoD certification and accreditation. Emergency Action: Identifies, plans for, and responds to medical emergencies, evacuations, and distress. Daily Inspections: Conducts daily facility walk-throughs; documents and corrects identified deficiencies. Reporting: Completes and reviews required accident and incident documentation. Physical Demands & Work Environment Mobility: Requires walking, standing, bending, stooping, and sitting on the floor. Acuity: Mandates visual and auditory capabilities for direct sight-and-sound supervision. Communication: Requires effective oral and written communication in English. Conditions: Operates in classrooms, offices, and outdoor environments with typical exposure risks. Schedule: May require uncommon tours of duty, including evenings and weekends.
