Summary About this position: Elliott Elementary School is part of the MCAS Beaufort (Laurel Bay) Schools Community in the DoWEA Americas Southeast District. Elliott ES serves students in PK to grade 2. This position is located at: Department of Defense Education Activity - Americas, Southeast District, Elliott Elementary School, Beaufort, South Carolina. Description of the Working Environment: Work is performed in a classroom setting. Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA), as one of only two Federally-operated school systems, is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing prekindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Department of War (DoW). Provides assistance in toileting, feeding, eating and personal hygiene. Supports educational efforts in the Special Education classroom and general education classroom as needed. Performs administrative tasks such as attendance records, filing, scheduling, and reviewing assignments. Works with students in accordance with plans developed by the specialist and educator. Participates in Parent Teacher conferences. Preparing instructional materials related to classroom lessons.
