LLRC Numeracy Consultant (2026-2027 School Year Contract)Employment Opportunity MLTC was created by nine First Nations located in north-west Saskatchewan who have constitutionally recognized aboriginal rights and Treaty Rights under Treaties #6, #8 and #10. The LLRC Numeracy Consultant will support the implementation of the LLRC curriculum, best-practice instructional strategies, and assessment initiatives. This position will use an Indigenous lens to coordinate and support teachers in implementing LLRC Curriculum competencies, strength-based assessment for learning that align with School Success Plans and Land-Based Calendars. This position will develop meaningful and supportive relationships with MLFN schools, to ensure consistency between program supports and MLTC. Duties & Responsibilities: Projects CollaborationResponsible for the implementation of school-based needs and providing long-range second-level service & delivery – modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, co-assessment.  PD DeliveryFacilitation of PD presentation (provide rationale for contract requests/fee for service for PD, school-based needs and external consultants, content development, resource material preparation) Specific Roles & ResponsibilitiesProviding consulting services to Mathematics teachers within 9 MLFN schools.Assisting school-based administrators and teachers in researching and implementing best practices in the delivery of mathematics programs.Supporting the implementation of the approved curriculum, and quality instruction and assessment at all MLFN schools. Implementing best practices of teacher/catalyst improvement to assist all MLFN teachers and catalysts in improving their quality of instruction and assessment including, but not limited to team teaching, modeling, one-on-one in class support and assistance with lesson development. Providing support and professional development for Math Catalysts in Tier 2 math intervention.Assist with MLTC Office of Education initiatives and other duties as assigned Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:    Minimum:A Bachelor’s Degree in Education; Saskatchewan Professional A Teachers’ Certification or the ability to obtain such standing; and a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience.Preferred:Master’s Degree or commitment to begin studies in a field appropriate to the Math education.  Experience in working with First Nations’ Schools & Communities.Other:Willing to travel to the First Nation Communities; work within a team setting and independently.Support land, language, relationship & culture initiatives.Knowledge and/or willingness to obtain training to support MLTC’s initiatives including, but not limited to:Assessment for Learning Model (triangulation evidence)Diagnostic Assessments (BCM and Common Math Assessment), Formative Assessments (in-house tracking) and Summative Assessments.
