Working collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners, the Accessibility Resource Coordinator (ARC) develops individualized accommodation plans, coordinates assistive technologies and support services, monitors student progress, and promotes an inclusive, accessible, and culturally responsive learning environment. The ARC will maintain regular consultation with colleagues and service providers who work directly with students to support student success and ensure the effective implementation of accommodations. The incumbent will also maintain accessibility resources, support the implementation of Student Accessibility Services policies and best practices, build relationships with internal and external partners, and contribute to student orientation, awareness initiatives, and other projects that enhance accessibility and inclusion across UCN.  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, including accommodation planning and implementation• Knowledge of assistive technologies, accessibility services, and learning strategies• Experience working with adult learners in an educational environment• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and related technologies• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team• Knowledge of current theories, principles, and best practices in adult education and accessibility• Proficient in cultural and inclusive practices• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Effective time management skills• Commitment to life-long learning  ASSETS:• Experience working in a post-secondary education environment• Certification or professional development related to accessibility, inclusion, or disability services• Knowledge of current accessibility legislation and standards• Experience with adaptive and assistive learning technologies• Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures Conditions of Employment:• Candidates must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check• Valid Class 5 driver's license as occasional travel is required• Occasional work on evenings and weekends Applicants are asked to provide a cover letter and resume with their application.
