Box 337Rocky Mountain House, ABT4T 1A3(587)798-0425 www.education.ochiese.ca    O’Chiese Education Authority is currently accepting applications for one Grade 1/2 Teacher, for the 2026/2027 school year. The applicant will have:·     a background highly specialized in early elementary·     a familiarity with programs like SRSD, UFLI and Story Champs·     an understanding of the difference between Tier 1, 2 and 3 supports·     strong classroom management·     trauma informed training or background·     an ability to build rapport with students in multiple classes·     experience working with a diverse set of student needs and providing appropriate programming for those students ·     the ability to differentiate instruction   ·     the ability to work as a team with Educational Assistants and other staff members Our school has approximately 240 students from K-12, 18 teaching staff, and 17 support staff. Our school offers traditional Saulteaux language and land-based classes to students. Our community is located in the foothills with a beautiful scenic view of the Canadian Rockies, close to local parks, within a 45-minute drive of Rocky Mountain House and approximately 2.5 hour drive to Banff, Jasper, Calgary and Edmonton. Applicants are required to have or be eligible for Alberta certification (this means you have to hold certification in another Canadian province).
