High School English Teacher

Hillsborough County School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: High School English Teacher Location: Brandon High School Position Summary: The Secondary Teacher (grades 6-12) is responsible for the instruction of designated content area(s)/course(s) in a classroom setting within a secondary school. Qualifications: Education: A bachelor's degree. A degree or formal training in the content area is preferred.Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate preferred. Eligibility for Florida Temporary Certificate is required.Language Skills: Reads, analyzes, and interprets all kinds of documents. Responds to inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or the community. Writes speeches and effectively presents them to managers, the public, and the school board.Mathematical Skills: Works with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Applies concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability: Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
