Please visit find a park for additional park information.Major Duties: Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately 11 months, and you will be in a non-pay/non-duty status for at least 2 weeks to 6 months from December 27 through February 6, per year based on project requirements or weather conditions. As an Educational Technician, you will perform the following duties: Present K-12 curriculum-based education programs following established themes, learning objectives, curriculum requirements, guidelines, utilizing teaching methods appropriate to each grade level. Present teacher training workshops and staff training. Research, develop and present resource-based interpetive programs for the public during peak visitation periods or if staff stortages occur. Provide orientation information at visitor centers and respond to visitor questions, emergencies, or other needs by phone, email or in person. Assist with the day-to-day operation of the education program including answering phones, record keeping, internal communications, correspondences, and materials maintenance and storage.
