Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TRAINING OFFICER (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD2230000 and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard. This vacancy is not eligible for membership to a labor organization. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) Army National Guard (ARNG) assigned to the J7 Domestic Operations (DOMOPS) branch under the J3 Director of Military Support (DOMS). This is an Army National Guard dual status technician position that requires military membership, compatible military skill assignment and classification. The purpose of the position is to develop and oversee the execution of the command's operations, training plans and policies. Provides staff planning and assistance to ensure the required training readiness objectives are achieved and deployment planning and preparation requirements are accomplished.Major Duties: As a TRAINING OFFICER, GS-1702-11, you will formulate, oversee and evaluate overall training programs with a primary focus on joint Domestic Operations (DOMOPS) and joint/interagency exercises. Develop and prepare annual operational and training budget requirements to support the exercise life-cycle and the Joint Operations Center. Evaluate organizational readiness reports and makes recommendations for improvement/modification to organizational training programs. Develop, review and adjust command level deployment and contingency operation plans, primarily focusing on command level exercise plans, while assisting with CONUS mobilization plans and emergency contingency operations. Direct scheduling and coordination for the use of training sites and facilities for multi-agency/interagency exercise and training events. Develop and implement Risk Management plans and programs for the command. Plan, organize and assign work to employees engaged in training, security and readiness at the command level. Performs other duties as assigned.
