Poundmaker Cree Nation is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 academic year to fill the following Full-Term position at Chief Poundmaker School: GRADE 1 Classroom Teacher  DATE OF POSTING: June 16, 2026                            DEADLINE: June 30, 2026  The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:use appropriate teaching aides and techniques, in order to meet basic Saskatchewan curriculum standards;use a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual needs of students;attend staff/community/school committee/parent-teacher meetings and in-service workshops to develop a greater understanding of community aspirations and improvement of personal teaching competencies;participate in operation of the school extracurricular program;other work-related duties as assigned. The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:Bachelor of Education and a Saskatchewan Professional “A” teaching certificateExcellent classroom management skillsAbility to teach students of varying abilitiesCross-curricular experience is an assetExperience in Fountas & Pinnell Literacy (Leveled Literacy Intervention), Pearson Developmental Reading Assessments (DRA), Mathletics, Nelson Literacy will be considered an asset.
