 TEACHER OF THE DEAF Two 1.0 Permanent positions - Ernest C. Drury School for the Deaf – Secondary program in Milton. The following positions are available for Septemeber 1, 2026: Competition #: PDSB26-098:  Teacher of the Deaf, Two 1.0 Permanent positions, Ernest C. Drury School for the Deaf, Secondary program, MiltonPositions are available September 1, 2026 NOTE:  PDSB is currently inviting applications from OCT qualified teachers who are interested and willing to obtain the Deaf Specialist. Less than ASL fluency required for the position may be supported with an ASL/English Interpreter in the classroom while the successful candidate becomes fluent in ASL.  What we are looking for: Qualifications: ·       Valid Certificate of Registration and Qualifications from the Ontario College of Teachers;·       Deaf Specialist/Teaching Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (NOTE:  PDSB will consider teacher candidates who are currently engaged in completing the requirements for the specialist qualification and/or who express a willingness to obtain);·       Intermediate and/or Senior Division qualifications required;·       Family Studies, Physical Education, History/Geography qualifications preferred;·       Special Education qualifications preferred;·       Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.
