The Grade 8 Teacher supports students’ academic, social, emotional, and cultural development by delivering instruction aligned with Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes. The Grade 8 Teacher contributes to a safe, inclusive, and culturally respectful learning environment that promotes student well-being and success.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Teacher shall:Plan and deliver instruction aligned with Saskatchewan curriculum outcomesIntegrate traditional ways of knowingDevelop and implement lesson plans that reflect diverse learning styles and needsAssess, evaluate, and document student learning using a variety of methodsMaintain accurate and up-to-date student records and reportingSupport the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)Create a positive classroom environment that supports engagement and learningWork collaboratively with Educational Assistants, specialists, and school staffIntegrate culturally relevant and inclusive practices where appropriateSupport student attendance, engagement, and overall well-being Core CompetenciesStrong instructional and classroom management skillsEffective communication and collaborationStrong organizational and planning skillsAbility to differentiate instruction and support diverse learnersProfessional ethics and confidentiality QualificationsBachelor of EducationValid Saskatchewan Teaching CertificateClean Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector CheckFirst Aid/CPR certification (asset)Clean Driver license/abstract (asset)Please apply here:https://slfnedu.bamboohr.com/careers/89?source=aWQ9MTI%3D
