We are one of Manitoba’s Top Employers and offer a generous Total Compensation Package with health benefits, a great pension plan along with the opportunity for personal and professional growth including tuition waivers.DUTIES:Reporting to the Vice President, Finance & Administration (VPFA), the Executive Assistant (EA) is responsible for providing confidential administrative support to the Vice President, in a wide range of key portfolio activities including preparation of correspondence, coordination of projects, processes and communication within the portfolio, reporting on progress of various initiatives, and building relationships with both internal and external partners. The incumbent ensures the effective operation of the office by maintaining the flow of work, supporting project teams, triaging situations, coordinating the Vice President’s schedule and facilitating communication with a broad range of partners. The EA serves as the lead administrator with the VPFA portfolio and is responsible for ensuring that processes, communication and tracking are effective to support the entire portfolio. The role also provides support to Directors, projects, policies and contracts. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Diploma in Business Administration, Management, or Office Administration; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered• Experience working at a senior administrative level, in an executive or professional office setting• Advanced calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex meetings with multiple partners• Experience working effectively within a demanding and fast-paced environment• Experience in review and management of office budget, identifying and resolving discrepancies• Advanced oral and written communication skills including ability to compile, draft and/or edit documents that range in complexity• Experience conducting research and leading and/or supporting small-scale projects• Advanced skills in MS Office 365• Experience scheduling travel arrangements• Commitment to lifelong learning ASSETS• Knowledge of Indigenous and northern cultures/communities• Knowledge of UCN systems and processe Conditions of Employment:• Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada Applicants are asked to provide a cover letter and resume with their application.
