Secondary Econ/Government Teacher

Florence Unified School District #1 is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Secondary Econ/Government Teacher Location: Florence High School Date Available: 07/13/2026 Position Overview: The High School Economics Teacher is responsible for developing students’ understanding of economic principles, financial literacy, and the global economy. The teacher will design engaging lessons that connect theory to real-world applications, foster critical thinking, and prepare students for college, careers, and informed citizenship. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Master’s Degree (MA) preferred.Proven experience in teaching high school Economics, with a deep understanding of economic principles, financial literacy, and the global economy.Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging and intellectually stimulating learning environment.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
