Summary About the position: Kessler Elementary School is part of the Georgia Schools Community which is part of the DoDEA Americas Southeast District. Kessler serves students from Prekindergarten (PK) through 5th grade. Description of Working Environment: Work is performed in a classroom setting. Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA), as one of only two Federally-operated school systems, is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing prekindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Department of War (DoW). DoWEA is committed to ensuring that all school-aged children of military families are provided with a world-class education that prepares them for postsecondary education and/or career success and to be leading contributors in their communities as well as in our 21st century globalized society.Major Duties: Distributing/collecting testing materials as needed by students Grading/providing testing results using identified scoring techniques Monitoring students during various phases of school day Preparing instructional materials related to classroom lessons Providing tutoring to students in all subject areas Accompanying/supervising students on field trips
