The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as Provost for the Joint Special Operations University (JSOU), serving as the President's principal advisor on the academic affairs of the University, including programs, faculty, curriculum, students, advisory boards, scholarship, accreditation, and academic support and is part of the University's senior leadership team. Provides strong executive leadership skills and exudes experience in enterprise leadership, collegially working with diverse staff, faculty, students, and administrators as well as the USSOCOM Staff across the Enterprise. 2. Plans, organizes, designs, develops, coordinates and oversees Joint Special Operations University Strategic Planning and Academic Staff in support of JSOU President and Commander USSOCOM. 3. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors. 4. Incumbent is responsible to ensure the core classified national information protection security disciplines of information are fully covered from a policy and programmatic viewpoint to ensure overall information protection requirements meet mission requirements.
