Summer School Counselor

Santa Fe Public Schools is accepting applications for the following position: Summer School Counselor Location: Milagro Middle School School Year: 2026 General Function: Support students who are enrolled in summer school/programs. Education/Training/Experience: Minimum: New Mexico Public Education Department School Counselor License.Preferred: Experience in counseling in a secondary education setting. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to exercise effective communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations, both in-person, on the telephone, and on the computer (email, etc.). Must be flexible and have excellent organizational skills. Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general educational periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to effectively use technology to compile and present data, reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from community groups, staff, and the general public.
