Teacher of Students with Autism

Prince William County Public Schools is inviting applications for the following position: Teacher of Students with Autism School Year: 2026-2027 Location: River Oaks Elementary School Job Summary: This position develops and implements effective instructional practices based on the needs identified in student's Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This position develops, implements and monitors the student's Individualized Education Programs in collaboration with parents and other IEP Team members. This position promotes a collaborative relationship with school staff and parents that will foster inclusionary practices. Required Qualifications: Minimum: Bachelor's DegreePreferred: Master's Degree Virginia teaching certificate with endorsements in the area of disability served; In lieu of complete endorsement, a conditional license may be granted if the teacher is working toward complete endorsement at a rate of a minimum of six (6) semester hours per year. Knowledge of and adherence to federal, state and local laws and regulations governing the education of students with disabilities.
