Educational Technician (Education Technician)

Summary Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. Major Duties: Responsible for providing technical support and assistance in all aspects of the education departments operation. Assists with the maintenance and control of the Education Department records and files, and assists with ensuring that all reporting requirements are met. Responsible for keying education information in the Education Data System (EDS) based on information provided by professional staff. Records and maintains budgetary data and financial records and is able to provide statistical information to supervisors and staff members. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
