Elementary Teacher

Hampton City Schools welcomes applications for the following: Elementary Teacher Location: TBD School Year: 2026-2027 Job Requirements: Completion of a bachelor's degree and additional requirements (coursework and Praxis) necessary to obtain a teaching license. First consideration will be given to those who have completed an approved teacher prep program and possess or are eligible for a teaching license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Associate (Unlicensed) Teachers considered based on division needs.Experience working with students in a classroom setting preferred.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Excellent organizational, planning, and human relations skills.Good knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment of elementary level instruction.Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of children.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, and parents.
