Our campus includes a main building that offers almost 60,000 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities on 3 floors, including dormitory residences, cafeteria, dance studio, 2 storey-high gymnasium, and so much more.We’re currently seeking for a Math & Physics – High School Teacher, who will effectively plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.Job duties:Instructs students, using various teaching methods, for example lecture and demonstration, and uses audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations.Prepares Math & Physics courses objectives and outline following curriculum guidelines or requirements of school.Assigns lessons and corrects homework.Administers tests to evaluate students' progress, records results, and issues reports to inform parents of progress.Keep and maintain attendance records, and follow up with principal and guardians, as needed.Maintains discipline in classroom by applying disciplinary measures when necessary.Meets with parents to discuss student progress and problems.Participates in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.Performs related duties, for example sponsoring one or more activities or student organizations, assisting pupils in selecting course of study, and counselling student in adjustment and academic problems.Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipmentUpdate all necessary records accurately and completely as required by Ministry and school regulationsParticipate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizationsKeep up to date with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activitiesPerform certain pastoral duties including but not limited to student support, counselling students with academic problems and providing student encouragementParticipate in department and school meetings, parent meetingsDeal tactfully with staff, students, parents and the public. Requirements:Bachelors of Education Degree from an accredited institution, or equivalentUniversity Degree in an appropriate field preferredFamiliar with the Math & Physics Ontario credited courses2-3 years of professional teaching experience in elementary/high schoolTeaching additional subjects is preferable but not a mustProficiency in English, fluency in other languages an asset but not requiredAbility to pass a criminal background checkKnowledge and understanding of school policies, compliance regulations and appropriate legislationExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of energy & patienceGenuinely committed to helping children learnExcellent problem solving, negotiation and mediation skillsAbility and willingness to perform required physical tasksAbility to recognize individual learning styles and the characteristics of learnersHigh level of attention to confidentialityCultural sensitivityStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Teams etc.Willing to participate in ongoing learning Work conditions:Interacts with students, teachers, administration, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel under all circumstances.Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.Overtime as required. Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 12-30 hours/weekLocation: Markham, ONEmployment Type: Part-time or Full-time, fixed term contractSalary: $20-$30/hour Benefits:Company eventsDiscounted or free foodOn-site parkingPaid time off Expected start date: 2026-09-01  J.
