聽Elementary School Counsellor / Mental Health TherapistPosition: Elementary School Counsellor / Mental Health TherapistLocation: Chief Paskwa Education Centre Elementary School, Pasqua First Nation, Saskatchewan, CanadaStart Date: As soon as possibleClosing Date: Open until filledPosition Overview:Chief Paskwa Education Centre is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Elementary School Counsellor / Mental Health Therapist to join our education team. This role supports the mental, emotional, and social well-being of students by providing counselling, crisis intervention, and mental health programming in a culturally responsive and supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Provide individual and group counselling to students.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Offer crisis intervention and short-term therapeutic support.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Collaborate with teachers, parents, Elders, and community partners to support student well-being.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Develop and deliver workshops, programs, and activities that promote mental health and resiliency.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Maintain confidential and accurate case records in accordance with professional standards.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Integrate culturally relevant approaches and First Nations perspectives into counselling practice.Qualifications & Requirements:路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Master聮s degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Must be a registered member in good standing with the applicable professional college or association (e.g., Saskatchewan College of Psychologists, Saskatchewan College of Social Workers, Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, etc.).路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Experience working with youth in a school setting preferred.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Knowledge of trauma-informed and strength-based approaches.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Understanding of Indigenous culture, history, and the impacts of intergenerational trauma.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Additional Assets:路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Experience working in a First Nation community or school.路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Ability to speak or understand an Indigenous language.Application Process:Please submit a cover letter, resume, proof of professional registration, and three professional references to:Name: Eric HonetschlagerDirector of EducationPasqua First NationEmail: eric.honetschlager@pasquaeducation.comNote: The posting will remain open until filled.
